What’s up! I’m Matthew and super happy you’re checking us out! I love teaching and helping people with their everyday living expenses, paying off debt, and giving them the ability to live however they choose. Giving them the ability to dream again without worrying about that next electrical bill. Allowing someone to feel confident in their money decisions because they have a plan and direction.
In 2015 I was that guy with no plan or direction after accruing $25,000 of student loan debt after college. The weight of it was tremendously burdensome and sacked away my dreams in so many ways. I was constantly worried about losing my job because I knew those student loan payments were coming plus all of my regular day to day expenses. The margin in my life was very small and brought lots of stress into my life. With my back pinned against the wall I knew there had to be another way to manage money other than what I was doing.
After doing research and praying over what I needed to do next I found a plan that worked and proceeded to work this plan. I worked multiple jobs and lived on absolutely nothing while driving a car with over 200,000 miles. A budget was created every month to ensure I knew where every dollar was going all the time. At times the journey was difficult, but it helped me build character and discipline not only with money but other areas of my life.
After 18 months of struggle and perseverance I was able to pay off all the debt and score my touchdown moment. Eventually I married my beautiful wife Vanessa and began teaching Financial Peace University at my local church because I wanted people to have the same success as I did. As the passion for this subject grew and I became more familiar with money management I knew I wanted to be a guide for people who are struggling with their finances. Thus as a financial coach I provide that one on one opportunity for clients to meet with me in order to help the client meet their goals and score that touchdown that has long been awaited.
Now that several years have passed, me and my wife have been able to pay off her student loans and house totaling up to $213,900.
